You can benefit from the Memory Center if you:
- have difficulty remembering recent conversations, appointments, specific occasions, or medications.
- misplace items such as keys, purses or wallets.
- have difficulty managing finances, balancing a checkbook, or paying bills.
- get lost or disoriented in familiar places.
- demonstrate difficulty in driving.
- ask the same questions repeatedly, or struggle with finding the "right word" during conversations.
We offer the following services:
- Psychological and cognitive assessments
- Neuropsychological evaluations
- Psychotropic medication management
- Treatment, education and ongoing support for clients and families
The goals of the Memory Center are to:
- assess memory and cognition.
- assess functional daily living.
- determine accurate diagnosis.
- provide education and training.
- provide support, advice and training to family and caregivers.
- advise about residential needs.
- advise about community resources.
The evaluation and treatment process involve a team comprised of neuropsychologists, psychologists, geriatric psychiatrists, licensed clinical social workers and nurse practitioners.
Referrals are welcomed from healthcare professionals, facility staff, family, friends or self-referrals.
CGS accepts Medicare assignment and participates with many other insurance plans.
