You can benefit from the Memory Clinic if you:
- have difficulty remembering recent conversations, appointments, specific occasions, or medications.
- misplace items such as keys, purses or wallets.
- have difficulty managing finances, balancing a checkbook, or paying bills.
- get lost or disoriented in familiar places.
- demonstrate difficulty in driving.
- ask the same questions repeatedly, or struggle with finding the "right word" during conversations.

- Psychological and cognitive assessments
- Neuropsychological evaluations
- Psychotropic medication management
- Safe Driver evaluations
- Home Safety Assessments
- Power wheelchair or scooter evaluations
- Treatment, education and ongoing support for clients and families
The goals of the Memory Clinic are to:
- assess memory and cognition.
- assess functional daily living.
- determine accurate diagnosis.
- provide education and training.
- provide support, advice and training to family and caregivers.
- advise about residential needs.
- advise about driving.
- advise about community resources.
Home safety assessments are available upon request/referral from neuropsychologists and/or physicians for community dwelling older adults or those in rehabilitation facilities or respite programs who plan to return home after therapy is completed. These assessments are to evaluate the client's capacity to live independently and safely in their own environment.
The evaluation and treatment process involve a team comprised of neuropsychologists, psychologists, geriatric psychiatrists, occupational therapists (OT), social workers and nurse practitioners.
Referrals are welcomed from healthcare professionals, facility staff, family, friends or self-referrals. A doctor's referral is required for an initial OT assessment.
CGS accepts Medicare assignment and participates with many other insurance plans.
